The Shock Response Spectrum at Low Frequencies

چکیده

The slope of the shock spectrum at low frequencies is typically evaluated by using a veIl known relationship between the undamped residual shock response spectrum and the 2agnitude of the Fourier.spectrum [1]. This has led to the common belief that the shock response of shocks with a low velocity change, like a ?yrotechnic shock, will have a low frequency .lope of 12 dB/octave. But anyone who has examined these shocks has seen data which ~iolates this assumption. Several suggestions :-a':e been offered to explain the slopes which ~re different from 12 dB/octave including: " The spectrum doesn't really roll off at 12 dB/octave

The Dynamic and Vibration Response of Composite Cylindrical Shell Under Thermal Shock and Mild Heat Field

In this article, the vibration and dynamic response of an orthotropic composite cylindrical shell under thermal shock loading and thermal field have been investigated. The problem is that the shell is initially located at a first temperature, and some tension caused by a mild heat field is created, then the surface temperature of the cylinder suddenly increases. The partial derivative equations...

Calculation of a Shock Response Spectra

As it is stated in the ISO 18431-4 Standard, a Shock Response Spectrum is defined as the response to a given acceleration acting at a set of mass-damper-spring oscillators, which are adjusted to the different resonance frequencies while their resonance gains (Q-factor) are equal to the same value. The maximum of the absolute value of the calculated responses as a function of the resonance frequ...

Effects of Pitching Motion on Shock Behavior in a Body-Wrap Around Fin Configuration

Unsteady dynamic behavior of TTCP model with different wrap around fin sets were investigated in a trisonic wind tunne. The aerodynamic coefficient force measurement in this wind tunnel shows good agreement in comparison with that of the NASA Langley Research Center in static case. The model was sinusoidally oscillated at three different frequencies of 1, 3 and 8 Hz at M=2.0 and the effects of ...

GENERATION OF SYNTHETIC EARTHQUAKE RECORDS BY ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TECHNIQUES

For seismic resistant design of critical structures, a dynamic analysis, based on either response spectrum or time history is frequently required. Due to the lack of recorded data and randomness of earthquake ground motion that might be experienced by the structure under probable future earthquakes, it is usually difficult to obtain recorded data which fit the necessary parameters (e.g. soil ty...

Design Spectrum for Near Fault Ground Motions Considering Frequency-Dependence of CH/SC Material Behavior Regarding Laboratory and Field Shear Wave Velocity (Vs)

Introduction One-dimensional site response analysis is widely performed to account for local site effects during an earthquake. Most of these approaches assume that dynamic soil properties are frequency independent. Laboratory test results as well as in-situ testing show that shear modulus and damping ratio are dependent on the frequency of loading. Although the amplification factor at ground ...
